Boys Scouts of America Troop 5 meets each Monday, 5:30PM to 7:00PM at Saint John’s Episcopal Cathedral at the corner of Cumberland and Walnut in downtown Knoxville. First organized in 1914, Troop 5 camps monthly, rain or shine, and is a traditional troop that focuses on youth leadership, outdoor skills and high adventure experiences.
Troop 5 offers some amazing programs and adventure destinations for boys ages 11-17 who want to learn, lead and have fun. Do you like to do things outdoors? Enjoy camping? Want to sail in the Florida Keys, canoe in northern Minnesota or take a high adventure hike in the mountains of New Mexico? Then Troop 5 is for you!

Troop 5 is boy-led. That means that every boy will have a chance to help plan troop activities. Each member also has the chance to earn advancements and learn backpacking, rifle shooting, astronomy, hiking, canoeing, cooking and history, just to name a few.
